We are thrilled to announce our first charity flash day on Saturday 13th November.

We have chosen to donate all proceeds from the day to the wonderful folks of Give a dog a bone.
Why have we chosen GADAB?
Louise and her team at GADAB do incredible work in the community and have personally helped out member's of the Black Abbey team in the past with wonderful advice and support. They have also been supporting elderly friends throughout lockdown with weekly phone calls to combat loneliness.
So what exactly does GADAB do?
The Charity brings older adults and rescue pets together, helping to tackle loneliness and animal homelessness. The charity not only helps with the rehoming fees that come along with rescuing a pet, but offer monthly care packages to help cover the costs of feeding and caring for their new pet.
Older adults can benefit greatly from the companionship and routines that owning a pet brings, this can bring them a new lease of life. but not everyone is able to care for a pet in their home.
Give a dog a bone has 3 three community spaces located in Glasgow (Shawlands), Troon and Alloa where everyone from the community is welcome to pop in for a free cuppa, a chat with the staff and volunteers as well as enjoy the companionship of dogs within the space.
Although GADAB is a Dog charity, they offer spaces for the over 60s to make friends and re-engage within their communities, learn new skills with group activities and get supported all for free.
We think you will agree that Louise and her team are amazing and very deserving of our support, so let's tell you how you can.
